NUR 210 RN Externship
This course is developed for a newly licensed RN to strengthen his/her skills acquisition, develop professional role competence, and facilitate the new RN's transition to practice. In addition to a practicum component, seminars will address communication and teamwork, patient-centered care evidence-based practice, quality improvement informatics, and ethics. The practicum is under the supervision of a one-to-one preceptorship experiencing clinical analyses and judgments while engaged in patient care in a select nursing area. Prerequisites: Admission into MSN program, NUR 203 (may be taken concurrently).
