SOC 135 Mass Media
An examination of contemporary mass media as a reflection, characterization, and interpretation of culture and society, along with the human rights implications of it in society. In addition, the use of the mass media, with an emphasis on television and film, in politics economics, and religion will be explored. Critical analysis of ongoing and emerging trends in television and film will also be conducted. (See FLM 135)
