Liberal Arts Associate in Arts Degree
The Associate in Arts degree with a major in Liberal Arts is designed for the student who wishes to explore various disciplines. At the completion of the Associate in Arts program, the student may pursue a major leading to a Baccalaureate degree and/or enter a career which utilizes the benefits from this interdisciplinary program. To transition to the Baccalaureate program on the Chalon campus, the student should consult with an advisor regarding General Studies requirements and the inter-program change process.

*Students may take placement exams offered by MSMU's Language and Culture Department to fulfill the modern language requirement. Successful completion will waive the Modern Language Requirement but no units will be awarded.
**Math 2X meets the requirement for Mathematics in the AA Liberal Arts major.
Students must complete all Liberal Arts requirements with a grade of C- or better (except for English classes where grades must be C or better).
All General Studies requirements must be met, plus electives, for a total of 60 semester units.
