PHO 8 The Art of Lighting

This course explores the various qualities of light that are essential for a photographer/film maker to understand and identify. Through practical assignments, the student learns to use LED, tungston, electronic flash, and natural light. A variety of situations are studied to understand limitations, advantages and disadvantages of lighting environments. Through lecture, demonstration and in class presentation students are exposed to various classic lighting patterns seen both in traditional art media and film. Cross-listed with FLM 212.
