Commuter Services
Commuter students are an active and important part of the Mount community. Programs and services offered are available at both campuses.
Wi-fi Access and Computer Lab: Wi-fi access is available to all students throughout each campus, including at Doheny in Building 3 and in the 24 Hour Room adjacent to the J. Thomas McCarthy Library. At Chalon commuter students may access wi-fi at the Charles Willard Coe Memorial Library.
Lockers: Commuter students can reserve on-campus lockers for free at both campuses. Students provide their own padlock and clean out their locker at the end of the academic year. To reserve a locker, email studentcare@msmu.edu.
Meals: Commuter students can dine in a beautiful setting and save money by purchasing one of four meal plan options. Meal plans can be purchased by completing a commuter meal plan form at one of the cafes or at the Food Service office located on the second floor of Ahmanson Commons.
Off-Campus Housing Listing: Mount Saint Mary’s University, Los Angeles, has contracted with Off-Campus Housing 101 to provide 24/7 online off-campus rental listings to current Mount students. Listings can be found online here.
Study Areas and Commuter Lounges: Both campuses offers a number of gathering and study areas for commuter students. At Chalon, commuter students can utilize Student Lounge located in Leavey Commons. At Doheny, the first floor of Ahmanson Commons offers a comfortable atmosphere to study or watch TV as well as access to a refrigerator and microwave.
Parking and Transportation: Commuter students may utilize the free intercampus shuttle that travels between the Doheny and Chalon campuses, reservations are required. Students who wish to park on campus must purchase a parking permit. More information about parking locations, permits, and shuttle transportation can be found online here.
