EDU 39B Supervised Teaching: Preschool- Advanced
Demonstration of advanced developmentally appropriate early childhood program planning and advanced teaching competencies under the supervision of ECE/CD faculty and other qualified early education professionals. Students will utilize practical classroom experiences to make connections between theory and practice, develop professional behaviors, and build a comprehensive understanding of children and families. Reflective practice will be emphasized as student teachers design, implement, and evaluate approaches, strategies, and techniques that promote development and learning. Includes exploration of career pathways, professional development, and teacher responsibilities. NOTE: This course will be taken during short-session 2 after successfully completing EDU 39A, this course provides additional supervised teaching hours in an early childhood classroom. In addition to the seminar class (Fri), students are required to complete a minimum of 110 hours, four days a week (M-Th) at MSMU- Child Development Center.
