Title IX/Sexual Harassment
Mount Saint Mary’s University, Los Angeles (“MSMU” or the "University") is committed to providing a learning, working, and living environment free of all forms of sexual harassment and sexual misconduct (as defined in the Prohibited Conduct section of this Policy or in other University policies for employees and faculty) in all of its programs and activities, including admissions and employment.
The University does not condone and will not tolerate Prohibited Conduct by any member of the University community and is committed to taking all appropriate steps to eliminate all forms of Sexual Harassment and Sexual Misconduct, prevent its recurrence, and address its effects.
Each member of the University community is responsible for conducting themselves in accordance with this Policy. MSMU encourages all members of the University community to participate in the process of creating a safe, welcoming, and respectful campus environment free from Sexual Harassment in all its forms. Accordingly, MSMU encourages students, employees, and University community members to report instances of Sexual Harassment so that the University can take appropriate responsive action. For many of our employees, reporting information received about Sexual Harassment in our community is a requirement, as stated in this Policy.
This Policy applies to all students, employees, and other individuals participating in or seeking to participate in the University’s program or activities, including education and employment. All forms of Prohibited Conduct under this Policy or related policies are regarded as serious offenses that are harmful to the safety and well-being of our University community. The University has developed this Policy and procedures to respond promptly and equitably to all allegations of Prohibited Conduct and, where such Prohibited Conduct has occurred, the University will act to stop the misconduct, prevent its recurrence, and discipline or take other appropriate action against those found to be responsible. Depending on the nature of the violation, employees or students who violate this Policy may face disciplinary action up to and including expulsion (for students) or termination of employment (for employees). Third parties who violate this Policy may be permanently barred from MSMU, from MSMU’s education programs or activities, or may be subject to other restrictions.

- Stalking
- Domestic Violence
- Dating Violence
- Sex or Gender-Based Discrimination
