PT 489 Repeat Affiliation
This course is an additional
clinical education experience designed to develop the clinical competence of
the student in a variety of clinical settings with diverse patients. The
setting will be chosen by the DCE with input from the student to complement the
previous assignments to ensure the breadth of preparation necessary for general
practice as a physical therapist. The student will examine, evaluate, diagnose,
prognose, and design/implement physical therapy interventions while under the
supervision of a licensed physical therapist. The student will also develop
practical skills in professional and practice management. This course is
utilized for repeating any full-time clinical education experience where the
student received a grade of NC or was otherwise unable to complete the original
experience. This course may be utilized only once during the course of the
program. The number of units is determined by the number of weeks of clinical experience
the student needs to repeat, as determined by the Department.
