PT 495B Research VI: Research Development B
This
course focuses on developing a deep understanding of the evaluation of physical
therapy interventions and experimental research designs to study physical
therapy interventions. This course has three main components. The first
component is identifying physical therapy interventions for a given diagnosis.
The second component is using an exhaustive literature review to determine the
strength of the available evidence for the intervention. The third component is
designing a research protocol to study a question/hypothesis regarding an
intervention’s functional/clinical effects. This course focuses on
pediatric/adolescent diagnoses.
