BIO 135 Molecular Biology

This course focuses on the central dogma of biology and emphasizes the following topics: (1) structure and function of macromolecules such as DNA, RNA, and proteins, (2) DNA replication and repair, (3) expression of the genome through transcription, splicing, and translation, (4) gene regulation. Lecture 3 hrs. Prerequisites: a grade of C- or above in BIO 1/BIO 2; concurrent enrollment in BIO 135L or completion of BIO 135L with a grade of C or better
