Cave Paintings to Cosmetics: The Art and Chemistry of Color
This course is designed to give students an experiential understanding of the science behind color and the use of color in art throughout history. Students will learn fundamental theories of chemistry, chemical bonding, the electromagnetic spectrum, and the interaction of molecules with light. Students will also learn fundamentals of drawing and color theory. Students will learn how to make and use their own pigments.
