MTH 50 Elementary Number Systems and Statistics
Critical thinking, logic, sets, numeration systems, properties of integers, rational & real numbers, elementary number theory, modular systems, problem-solving processes, ratio, proportion, percentage and elements of probability and statistics. This course is intended primarily for Liberal Studies Majors, including students who aim to be K-12 math teachers. Can be taken for professional credit. Prerequisite: SPR 56X (concurrent okay) may be required depending on placement score. MTH 50 and MTH 51 combined fulfill the GE 3A requirement.
