RST 276A Consciousness, Bias, Archetypes in Spiritual Direction

This module explores consciousness as a heightened awareness of one's inner life, including thoughts, emotions, and experiences, with the intention of discerning God's presence and guidance allowing for a deeper connection in everyday life.
Bias explores personal beliefs, experiences, or cultural background, that unconsciously influences and directs people towards interpretations or decisions that align more with their own perspective rather than allowing for a truly objective exploration. Biases color understanding potentially hindering the ability to fully listen and guide with neutrality.
Archetypes explore the concept of Jungian archetype figures of hero, guide, shadow, or mother, as they appear in a person's spiritual journey.
The class will explore these elements in order to understand how they impact both director and directee.
