RST 277D Ethics and Support Services in Spiritual Direction
This module builds upon the essential components of ethics in spiritual direction primarily focusing on respecting the directee's autonomy, maintaining confidentiality, avoiding power imbalances, being mindful of personal boundaries, and acting with compassion and non-judgmental listening while guiding individuals on their spiritual journey, all within the framework of their specific faith or spiritual beliefs. To be included is a survey of support services the spiritual director can provide when the situation determines that there needs to be additional support services for the directee.
The Certificate Ceremony will be held at the culmination of the Year 2 Spring semester for any student who has completed the 2-year/18-unit requirement.
