NUR 410 Advanced Instructional Strategies
This course equips doctoral nursing students with advanced pedagogical frameworks and evidence-based instructional strategies to foster deep learning, critical thinking, and professional growth in diverse academic and clinical environments. Learners will examine contemporary theories of adult learning, cognitive development, and instructional design, applying them to the creation of innovative, learner-centered approaches that align with AACN Essentials, AONL competencies, and national nursing education standards.
Emphasis is placed on designing inclusive, equitable, and restorative learning experiences that integrate technology, simulation, case-based learning, and interprofessional collaboration. Students will develop skills in curriculum mapping, rubric construction, and assessment strategies that promote transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement. Through reflective practice and applied projects, participants will refine their ability to translate complex nursing and health systems concepts into accessible, actionable learning experiences for diverse stakeholders.
