PT 490 Research I
This course will introduce you to concepts related to the application of evidence-based practice in physical therapy. This course aims to develop an understanding of common PT-related research study results and develop skills to analyze the trustworthiness of published literature. The study types covered in this course are data syntheses –systematic reviews & clinical practice guidelines. The primary goal of this course is to make you educated consumers of PT-related scientific literature who know how to apply the best evidence to your clinical practice.Teaching methods & learning activities will include lecture, group discussion, demonstration, group problem-solving, case studies, & independent reading. Some of these activities may be conducted online.
