CRW 299G Studies in Publishing: Marketing and Sales

After a book is selected for publication, how does it make its way to the actual (or virtual) bookshelf? What choices do publishers make in terms of how a book is marketed and where a book is sold? This course will take students behind the scenes in process of marketing and selling a book, including engagements with professionals in those position who can speak from their personal experiences in those departments of major U.S.
