ENG 56 The History of the Book: Manuscript to Digital

An interdisciplinary critical-creative exploration of books from manuscript to digital. Students will examine global social and cultural histories of books, publishing, and related media technologies. In addition, the class will introduce students to various book arts techniques, letterpress printing, and digital text creation. GE 5C (Global Awareness and Understanding). Crosslisted with ENG 156.
