FLM 226 A.I. for the Visual Artist

This course introduces the student to A.I.-generated imagery, its functionality and workflow, and the ethics and legal considerations that surround the medium. Starting with the still image, the student will learn to create through the latest AI main applications and software such as MidJourney, Adobe Firefly, and Photoshop. The student is exposed to an analysis of image creation techniques through written prompts and is introduced to an array of versions and functions. Motion techniques through still-image animations will also be explored. The course will segue into stable diffusion applications such as Kaiber, Runway, and Sora, which will prepare the student for where AI is going- toward motion and video. Cross-listed with FLM 126A.
