GIS 187 Environmental Studies
It is now acknowledged that environmental issues are inevitably social issues, and these can be understood by an examination of their social roots. The course therefore attempts to understand the social roots of environment problems and social responses to these problems. This course will examine the interactions between society and the environment, including climate change, industrial development, pollution, and sources of energy. Cross-listed with
