PT 495B Research VI: Research Development
This 6th course in the series of seven research courses will focus on one of the following options.
• Option 1: If the student(s) have submitted a proposal for independent research that fulfills requirements for PT 495C, PT 495B will include all activities post-proposal up to data analysis. Data analysis and the final write-up of the research paper and poster will be completed in PT 495C during the first clinical education experience in the summer semester.
• Option 2: If students have not submitted a proposal for independent research for PT 495C, PT 495B will be a systematic review of physical therapy care for a diagnosis commonly treated during one of the terminal full-time clinical education experience settings. PT 495C will be either a Case-study with systematic application of EBP (formerly known as Clinical Practice Guideline) or Systematic Review during one of the terminal full-time clinical education experiences. PT 495B and PT 495C are separate projects for this option.
