SW 156 Incarcerated People & Probation

This course focuses on issues that arise in correctional settings, such as jails, prisons, and probation and parole departments. It focuses on working with people who are disproportionately affected by incarceration due to their mental health struggles or social positions. Students learn to work with multiple systems to support incarcerated, at-risk, and recently-released inmates. They also learn about the importance of an integrated approach to behavioral health that supports community reintegration and restorative justice.
