Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Producing for Film and Television
The MFA in Producing for Film and Television is a 43-unit terminal MFA degree that can be completed in two years. It is designed specifically for individuals who wish to fully immerse themselves in all aspects of producing film and television assets.
Students will learn how content is developed, pitched and sold to networks and studios.
Mount Saint Mary’s University is regionally accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
Degree Requirements
The Master of Fine Arts in Producing for Film and Television is a 43-unit terminal degree comprised of the following requirements:
- Foundations (9 units)
- Producing Specific Courses (13 units)
- Electives (9 units)
- Thesis (12 units)
- Mid-Program Review and Thesis Proposal
- Final Review and Oral Defense
A minimum of 43 units is required to complete the program.
