FLM 100K The Business of Screenwriting
This course is an overview of the business practices surrounding screenwriting. Topics include: representation (agents, managers, lawyers), producers and how to work with them, pitching, film vs. TV as a career, what it takes to be a professional writer, etc. The class combines lecture with industry guest speakers to explore what being a professional writer entails and how students can start building their skills before they make their first sale.
