FLM 137D Professional Screenwriting & the Art of the Rewrite
This course will mentor students with a completed draft of a film or television pilot through the paces of rewriting their project over the course of the semester. Designed as an introduction to the professional development process, the class will examine how to take notes, how to re-outline, how to find the ‘note behind the note’, and the nuances of working with an industry executive in the crafting of a polished final draft. Students enrolling in the class are expected to already have a completed draft before the start of the course. Prerequisite: FLM 137A with a B+ or higher or permission from the instructor.
