FLM 137E Developing the TV Series
This course prepares writers to do all the groundwork needed before writing “FADE IN” in on their pilot. The binge-watching era of television has made it essential that any show idea has the story-engine to produce multiple seasons of essential television. Successful students will finish the course with a market tested idea, a bible for their show, an outline for the pilot that sets up where the show is going, and a pitch document for the project. Students will be expected to have at least one idea for a series before enrolling in the class. Prerequisite: FLM 137A with a B+ or higher or permission from the instructor.
