HCA 233B Practicum: Introduction to Health Economics

This course is a brief introduction to the field of health economics. The goal of this course is for students to get an overview of economic theory of health and healthcare and health economists use to analyze health and healthcare markets and to evaluate and interpret empirical findings in health economics. Students will read some of health economics papers in detail, spending a lot of time understanding the econometric models and the findings reported in those papers.
