EDU 191 Child Development Practicum

Applied work enhancing student understanding of the principles of child development in community settings. Field work must involve ongoing interactions with children under age 13 and/or their parents. Options include child care infant/toddler, preschool, school age recreational, hospital child life, special education, resource and referral, and child guidance settings. Each student is expected to arrange for an appropriate practicum setting (in consultation with the course instructor) that provide good supervision, offers opportunities for personal growth, and connects with personal career goals.

Prerequisite

Child Dev Minors: Must complete a minimum of 12 units in minor prior to enrollment in this course. Child Dev Majors: Must take course during the last semester enrolled at MSMU or with approval from Advisor.
