EXS 10 Introduction to Women's Health Across the Lifespan

This course provides an overview of women’s health, focusing on the physical, emotional, and social aspects of health across various stages of life. Topics include the unique healthcare needs of women, reproductive health, maternal and child health, hormonal changes, menopause, and age-related conditions. Students will explore factors that influence women’s health, such as cultural, socioeconomic, and environmental influences, and will examine preventive healthcare, common health issues, and strategies for promoting well-being. The course also includes an emphasis on interdisciplinary care and advocacy for women's health issues in diverse populations. Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of women’s health, preparing them to engage in healthcare practice and policy development with a gender-sensitive approach.
