POL 102 Gender and the Law

This course analyzes the relationship between gender and the law and how it has evolved over time. Students examine the landmark cases that have shaped women's rights in the United States and the works of leading legal scholars in the field. Through legal journals, case law, and other assigned texts, students will explore major legal issues relating to gender in the law, including employment discrimination, sexual harassment in the workplace, violence against women, reproductive rights, and LGBTQ+ rights.
