POL 172 Law and Literature

This course examines law within literature and the way in which law is often used as a device in literature to explore ethical themes such as mercy, tolerance, justice, freedom, and equality. The similarities in literary analysis and legal analysis provide a link between two disciplines that will allow for a dual exploration of great literature and legal dilemmas. GE 6A when linked with ENG 173.
