EDU 271 Assessment of Students With Special Needs

Candidates learn the principles and methods of assessing students with disabilities and how the use of statistical data is applied to the legal and educational structures for eligibility of service, program planning and the progress monitoring of student performance. Best practices and interventions are derived from formal and informal measurement results that account for various language/cultural, communication and cognitive abilities. Individual and group assessment results are processed and reported for data analysis and service design. May be cross-listed as EDU 171.
