NUR 212 Policy, Organizational Change, and Strategic Planning for Healthcare

This course focuses on developing the nurse's role in analyzing healthcare policies, understanding their impact on clinical practice and healthcare delivery, gaining knowledge in management theories and styles, and analyzing management and leadership components applicable in the workplace. Students will learn to formulate healthcare policies, influence the political process, and involve stakeholders in policy decision-making and implementation. The course will cover organizational structures, human resources, strategic planning, ethics, quality management, cultural diversity, quality improvement methods, decision-making methods, and critical thinking to help students develop a foundation for their professional careers.
