NUR 214 Curriculum Develoment and Evaluation and Testing

This course is designed so that the graduate student can explore curriculum development in both academic and practice settings.  The course is geared toward examining the philosophical basis for curriculum development.  This course applies advanced conceptual knowledge to the individual direct care focus in nursing situations, using instructional strategies, simulation, and technology in the classroom and online teaching environments. Additionally, the course will present concepts of assessment, measurement, testing, and evaluation in nursing education, including strategies used to develop course items, clinical evaluation, evaluation of clinical performance, and social/ legal/ ethical issues associated with assessment and testing.

Prerequisite

Admission to the AMSN program and successful completion of NUR 205 and NUR 211.
