POL 110 Political Psychology

This course will provide students with a broad overview of research in the field of political behavior and political psychology. Students will examine participation in elections, issue advocacy and social movements, and how psychological factors (e.g. ideology, emotions, personality) influence political participation. The examination will include comparison of theories developed in political behavior and psychology that build on a wide range of fields, including political science, social psychology, cognitive psychology, behavioral economics, sociology, communications, and many others.
