PT 472B Patient/Client Management: Neuromuscular II

This course is the second in a series of three courses on assessment and management of the patient with neurologic dysfunction.  This course will focus on physical therapy assessment and management of neurologic dysfunction resulting from spinal cord injuries, vestibular dysfunction, degenerative neurological conditions and various disease processes that result in lesions to the central or peripheral nervous system.  Normal movement, development and motor control of the pediatric client will be introduced.  Movement analysis, motor control and motor learning theory and clinical reasoning skills will be applied to identify and address abnormal movement patterns, as well as deficits at the Body Structure and Function, Activity and Participation levels.
