PT 495A Research V: Research Development A

The fifth course in the series of seven research courses is focused on developing a deep understanding of measurement in clinical practice. This course has three main components. The first component is identifying measurement instruments relevant for physical therapy practice. The second component is using an exhaustive literature review to determine the validity and reliability of identified clinically relevant measurement instrument. The third component is designing and conducting a research protocol to determine instrument validity or reliability. This project may be used as a pilot for PT 495C Clinical Capstone.
