PHI 168D Disability and Contemporary Moral Problems

This course uses questions about disability to introduce students to the philosophical analysis of contemporary moral problems. We will consider questions like: What is the best way to understand disability? What are the moral issues generated by disability in our society, and how do our moral theories help us decide how to address these moral issues? How does the philosophical analysis of disability help us engage better with people with disabilities, as well as our societal response to disability?
