SW 133 Social Work Practice with Older Adults
This course examines the biological, psychological, social, cultural, and environmental factors influencing the aging process and the well-being of older adults and their families in both domestic and international contexts. Students explore the contemporary social issues, challenges, strengths, and opportunities associated with aging while examining policies, programs, services, and evidence-informed social work interventions designed to support older adult populations. Emphasis is placed on culturally responsive, ethical, and strengths-based social work practice with older adults across diverse settings.
