CRW 280 Structuring and Outlining the Feature Film Screenplay
Classical three-act structure will only get you so far when plotting a 90-120 page screenplay. In this course, we’ll examine more detailed storytelling strategies ranging from the Hero’s Journey and Save the Cat to Five Act and Eight Sequence structures. We’ll analyze films through these different lenses and explore Pixar’s successful storytelling secrets. Since no formula is one-size-fits all, you’ll have the freedom to combine different tools as you begin to build your own feature film screenplay outline.
