CRW 281 Young Adult Fiction
YA has been experiencing creative and commercial success in the last few years. If you believe Young Adults from 12 to 18 have rich life experiences with the potential for a writer to create compelling coming-of-age stories, this is the course for you. Through fantasy, mystery, or science fiction genres, this class will focus on developing complex characters that will take readers through emotional struggles; friendship, identity, or romantic love will be paths to discovery and learning. You will study how to write complete scenes using a variety of YA writing techniques.
